Cleveland, Ohio: Hickok Inc. announced today that the MY 2009 software update due for release later this year will be the final update for the New Generation Star (NGS) diagnostic system. The classic NGS has been a mainstay tool in both the Dealership and Aftermarket for servicing all Ford Motor Company vehicles since its introduction in 1992. Hardware limitations and expanding vehicle systems have been cited as the reason for this change and the final update.

Replacing the NGS is the NGS Mach II that provides the same vehicle coverage from 1984 through current model year with the same full Dealership capabilities. Also offered is the NGS for PC software package, which provides the same proprietary code diagnostics for model years 1996 through current model year.
